My recent experience with a recall on my ID4 was frustrating. Not anything the dealership could solve I am afraid. The recall had to do with a software update. The vehicle was running fine before the update but not after. Apparently VW decided the cost of getting vehicle back to working condition was my responsibility financially. This kind of negates the recall process which has always been the manufacturer's responsibility in my experience, covered under the warranty. I don't know what is legal in this regard. Not a good look for VW.
